About Tooth & Nail Records
Founded in 1993 by Brandon Ebel, Tooth & Nail Records has been a mainstay of the independent Christian music scene for the last 30+ years. The music the label produced has historically sat at the intersection of the Contemporary Christian Music industry (CCM) and secular, underground subcultures and music genres such as punk, emo, post-hardcore, and metalcore. The culture that was generated around the label and its music, particularly in the first decade of the label, has had a significant cultural, religious, and political impact on both artists and fans. Though the nature of the music industry has changed significantly and, by extension, so has the content of the label and its focus, Tooth & Nail Records remains an influential voice in American subcultures stemming from punk, broadly speaking.
